Dramatherapy Scotland T-Shirts!

Once again, ladies and gentlemen, we at DTS are
advertising our STUPENDOUS and highly
fashionable Dramatherapy Scotland T-shirts. Help to support DTS wherever you go by buying your very own Dramatherapy Scotland T-shirt. If you are
interested, please send a cheque for £10 made payable to ‘Dramatherapy Scotland’ to Elinor Vettraino at the address on the front of this newsletter. Out of your £10, approximately £1.50 is profit and goes straight back into the Dramatherapy Scotland funds. Orders will be placed for T-shirts in bulk so we will inform you as your T-shirt is progressing.

Trestle Masks!

DTS have purchased a set of Trestle Masks with an accompanying Teacher’s Pack and video. These are kept at the Chair’s address (see bottom of this page) and can be rented out by Dramatherapy Scotland members. They must be booked in advance with 3 week’s notice, along with the member’s name, address and dates needed (up to 3 weeks). A cheque deposit of £20.00 should be made payable to ‘Dramatherapy Scotland’ and this will be returned on the safe return of the goods. This is because the masks are
expensive and may be in demand.

Dramatherapy Scotland’s Chair has been invited to attend an international conference on Dramatherapy in the autumn. In order to promote Dramatherapy in Scotland, a small subsidy of approximately £65.00 is being budgeted. For further information, please contact the Chair directly - contact details can be found at the bottom of this page.

At the start of the year, Tayside’s Head IV Dramatherapist Genevieve Smyth also began work at The Place 2 Be. New to Scotland, this organisation’s mission is ‘to enable therapeutic and emotional support to be provided to children in schools based on a practical model backed up by research ... [while] working at the leading edge of prevention to promote the life chances of children whose future development is at risk.’ Two projects are currently being piloted in Edinburgh and involve management of four qualified Arts Therapists from Queen Margaret University College.
