Specialist Dramatherapy
Service (SDS) Developments

Work continues on the creative and strategic challenge of integrating arts therapies within healthcare. Here, a new Arts Therapies Consortium is being established, co-chaired by a dramatherapist and an art therapist. Beyond treatment, plans are developing for a major Dundee Rep Theatre public consultation event (25th Feb 2002) on mental health services using innovative forms of interactive and therapeutic theatre in partnership with the statutory and voluntary sectors.

Dramatherapy Scotland T-Shirts!

Once again, ladies and gentlemen, we at DTS are
advertising our STUPENDOUS and highly
fashionable Dramatherapy Scotland T-shirts. Help to support DTS wherever you go by buying your very own Dramatherapy Scotland T-shirt. If you are
interested, please send a cheque for £10 made payable to ‘Dramatherapy Scotland’ to Elinor Vettraino at the address on the front of this newsletter. Out of your £10, approximately £1.50 is profit and goes straight back into the Dramatherapy Scotland funds. Orders will be placed for T-shirts in bulk so we will inform you as your T-shirt is progressing.

Trestle Masks!

DTS have purchased a set of Trestle Masks with an accompanying Teacher’s Pack and video. These are kept at the Chair’s address (see bottom of this page) and can be rented out by Dramatherapy Scotland members. They must be booked in advance with 3 week’s notice, along with the member’s name, address and dates needed (up to 3 weeks). A cheque deposit of £20.00 should be made payable to ‘Dramatherapy Scotland’ and this will be returned on the safe return of the goods. This is because the masks are
expensive and may be in demand.

What’s new???

Hi I’m a new Dramatherapy Scotland member. I moved to Scotland in June after gaining my PGDip Dth at the University of Herts. I enjoyed the first newsletter but would love to know how more members are employed and any thoughts for a new dramatherapist just starting out in Scotland. I’m hoping to build my training into a job I’m moving into as a residential care officer in Edinburgh. I’m sure Elinor would be grateful to receive more contributions to the newsletter so please write in and let us all know what we’re up to!

Yours hopefully...
